Qualification Description

This qualification reflects the role of individuals working in a variety of roles within the human resources sector. The job roles that relate to this qualification may include Human Resources Consultant, Human Resources Advisor and Human Resources Business Partner.

Responsibilities are likely to be determined at a workplace level. Some smaller organisations may require employees to work across all aspects of human resources. In larger organisations, individuals may coordinate a single human resources function.

Entry Requirements

Entry to this qualification is limited to those who:

- Have completed the following units (or equivalent competencies): BSBHRM411 Administer performance development processes; BSBHRM412 Support employee and industrial relations; BSBHRM415 Coordinate recruitment and onboarding; and BSBHRM417 Support human resource functions and processes. Equivalent competencies are predecessors to these units, which have been mapped as equivalent or
- Have two years equivalent full-time relevant work experience.

Potential career pathways for graduates of this qualification include roles such as a Business Manager or Human Resources Manager. Previous graduates of this program have gone on to roles ranging from clerical and administrative roles to professional and management roles across a wide variety of industries including Public Administration and Safety, Health Care and Social Assistance and Retail Trade.

Packaging Rules

Total number of units = 12
7 core units plus
5 elective units, of which:
2 elective units must be selected from Group A
- 2 elective units must be selected from Group B
- for the remaining 1 elective unit:
up to 1 unit may be selected from Groups A and B
- if not listed, 1 unit may be selected from a Certificate IV, Diploma or Advanced Diploma from this or any other currently endorsed Training Package qualification or accredited course.

Elective units must be relevant to the work environment and the qualification, maintain the integrity of the AQF alignment and contribute to a valid, industry-supported vocational outcome.

Certification Process

STEP 2. Portfolio of Experience : Your dedicated consultant will guide you through the process of putting together a portfolio of evidence. This can contain previous qualifications with transcripts, certificates, photos and videos, samples or work examples, letters of reference, your current resume, etc.
STEP 3. Evidence review : Once one of our partners registered training organisations (RTOs) has assessed your portfolio, the assessor assigned to your case may be in touch if any additional evidence is required. If you have any weak areas, the RTO may assign a trainer to upskill you at no cost to you.
STEP 4. Get Qualified : Alpha College is a Registered Training Organisations whose qualifications are nationally recognised in Australia and are the same as the qualification you would receive from full-time study. Qualifications can also be used for licensing applications.

Recognition of prior learning

Alpha College Pty. Ltd. provides the opportunity to potentially reduce the number of units required for this Certificate III in Roof Plumbing course by assessing skills gained from work, life experiences, or previous formal studies or training.
